My c6 started making a Squeaking noise on the left front side. I have changed out the bushings and control arms. It still makes the noise. I have to drive at least 49 to 50 miles before it starts to do this. Drives me crazy because I can't seem to find the problem. I have spent well over $2200 just trying to find the problem with 2 different mechanics. I have also changed out the Leaf spring pads and its still doing this. Has anyone else had this issue? does anyone know of someone who has had this issue? I live in Pasadena Tx and I would like to get thi problem resolved. I'm about to change out the headers and fuel pump. I have installed a Pro Charger and I really don't need this car to sound this way.
What MY is it?
If it has some years/miles, could very well be shocks.
Shocks do wear-out, get dry & squeak.
Doesn't sound plausible shocks go 'bad' but they do.
Had an annoying clunk when cold w/ my '08 Z06, couldn't figure out WTH was the source.
New shocks took care of the issue.
Yeah It may be the shocks. My vette is a 2008 just hit 50,000 miles. It may be the lower control arms also. i did not change those out when I changed the upper control arms. I'm going to replace those first then see if that helps. If not i will check the shocks and see if those are the issue. My car is squeaking not making a clunk noise. Could be the shocks.

I understoood your 'symptom' differed, yet a worn out shock may be source.
Was on my '08 w/ coincidentally 55K, assumed shocks last longer than 55K.
My assumption w/could've had me chasing this a lot longer.
NOT saying your issue's same, does require checking out though.
G/L, update please, be a great TS'g asset to other ageing C6 owners.
Yes your right, I'm going to have them checked on Friday. I'll post what was found as soon as they figure out what it is. I'll have them check my shocks as well. Thank you.
2008 coupe with noticeable squeak at 50k miles. . Changed out front leaf spring but no fix. After pulling wheels and inspecting suspension further, found shock leaking. Replaced both front shocks with OEM and no squeak since.
We had a squeak on our '09 vert on the right front end that was intermittent. The service manager thought it was a shock absorber. We dropped the car off and unfortunately he was off that day. The top Corvette service technician didn't service the vehicle. The technician removed the front and rear stabilizer bars and greased the rubber grommets and sprayed some silicon spray. We started home and the noise returned.
We returned the vehicle, and the top technician found the right front shock upper rubber grommet deteriorating. The shock was replaced and all is well. One down, three to go??
