C6 ignition
I noticed that when the ignition is off, I get out of the car and shut the door.....The green ignition switch light turns back on. Within minutes it does turn off, but it sure has me freaked out.
Is this something it should do or do I need to have it checked?
Thank you to anyone that can answer.
Todd

I really thought. ..oh no, please not electrical issues.

I had a C7 before I sold it and bought my C6. The C7 has over 70 microprocessors in it while the C6 has less than 20. I never had any electrical issues with my C7. I owned a C5 prior to buying the C7 and never had any electrical issues with it. It seems the C6 is the generation that Chevrolet decided to start putting more electronics in the car. I've read about so many electrical issues on this forum from C6 owners that it leads me to believe Chevrolet used the C6 to work out electrical issues before they built the C7. In fact, I'm chasing one now. I took my car to get the emissions checked three days ago and when the guy plugged in his diagnostic tool under the dash and asked me to start the car it wouldn't even turn over. Nothing. He unplugged his diagnostic tool and it started right up. He told me he got an error code that he thought might be my battery. It isn't the battery because I keep it on a battery tender and I had a Chevy dealer check it afterwards and tell me the battery is fine. It is a problem with the communication processors in the car that happens when they either need repaired or replaced. I'm lucky that Chevrolet has issued a bulletin on it and I won't pay for the eventual replacement if that has to happen.
