I took delivery of my 2007 in March. It has 95K miles.
My question is when I pop the hatch open, how far up should the hatch rise? Mine pops up about an inch. I can lift it and close it easily. My '94 Vette popped fully open.
If you pop your trunk/hatch and it sticks up an entire inch, you should be proud!
100% accurate. Most of us are used to hitting the button 3x or more to achieve the 1” gap. It’s not an auto-opening hatch. It is, however, soft close. Don’t slam it.
Good to know I don't have to buy new hatch struts.
If/when you do, they're not real expensive and are easy to install. Given the age of your 2007 this will happen eventually - replaced the ones on my 2006 about a year ago.
