With 5800 miles ? Is the factory fluid inadequate ? Or is the change interval that short ? Or both ?

The clutch fluid gets dirty very quickly, I flush mine every oil change.

Congrats on the purchase! I am a new member here and this is my first post. I actually just got my first Corvette today. It is a 07 with 45k miles and is in great shape. I am absolutely thrilled with it and my 8 year old son is ecstatic. I grew up working on cars and old trucks with my dad and wanted to get the Vette as a tribute to my Dad, Grandpa, and build the same type of memories with my son that I have from childhood. Ultimately I plan to get a 2012'ish GS down the road, but just dipping my toes in the water now.

NMSixer:

Congrats on the 12 GS. You chose the fastest and bestest color....although my opinion might be a bit biased.

The above is my 2011 4LT.
