Okay, I can see the base paint on the caliper going on well as long as it is prepped correctly. How are you guys painting the "Corvette" part of the caliper so it looks so nice?
I ask because I want to paint mine to match the heritage stripes on the front fenders and want the "Corvette" part to be white.
The base or Z51 brakes are easier because the letters are raised, so you can just dab a bit of chapstick on them and the paint won't stick. On our GS, you can order vinyl letters that stick on really well. And you could clear coat over them for extra protection if you wanted. That's what I did on mine. Now if I could only remember the website where I got them... I'm sure someone here will know because I found their name on a thread on this Forum.

Since I used a brush to paint the caliper using the POR 15 paint, Once the calipers paint dried, I took a block of wood with sandpaper, and rubbed off the paint from the raised letters (was yellow on Red) then used a small oil painting brush to paint the black letter on top of the yellow calipers. The Black Letter paint is Gloss Black Rustoleum.
The GS and Z06 has a decal applied on the caliper, so you would need to replace the existing ones. They are available on the e-site in Silver, Red, Blue, Black or White.
