It's odd how many C6 owners praise how stout the C6 is, they talk like you can expect at least 100k trouble free miles while others talk about the car breaking every time they drive it with low miles. Smell gas, stuck in park, the balancer pulley goes rolling in the ditch, door wont open, the valves stick to the top of the pistons. What's a person to believe? I have had 3 vettes myself but I don't have a since of longevity because I have probably not put 10k miles on all 3 put together. If you could poll all C6 owners (not just members of this form) I wonder what the outcome would be?
On a well known and respected car review site there are 651 owner reviews of C6 Corvettes and they average 4.8 out of 5 stars over the nine year run.

Reason: Grammar
15 year old GM product so I've given it a little slack. My only gripe has been the reverse switch breaking and dealing with the crappy harmonic balancer. Otherwise fluids have been cheap and not that difficult to replace. Nothing bad as of yet, knock on corvette
2007 Corvette purchased used 3 years ago with 35k miles is now at 65k mile. Wife daily drives it, she loves that it doesn't get door dings in crappy parking lots, though new paint will be needed at some point. Overall repairs are not bad considering it is 13 years old, roughly equivalent to a Honda or Toyota except the Harmonic Balancer, which is dumb GM never fixed that issue.
Repairs:
Harmonic Balanacer - Upgraded
Sway Bar End Links - Upgraded
Vanity Mirror Cover - Continuous issue... I hate the vanity mirror cover design...Let me know if you find an upgrade for this...
TBD:
Power Steering Pump - Currently leaks and makes a whining noise after heavy use.
Spark Plugs - First Owner had bad tune that caused above average wear, have not got around to replacing them.
Maintenance:
All Fluids (at purchase since used)
Annual Oil Change
Battery
Air Filter Cleaning
Cabin Air Filter
Break Pads and Rotors
Tires - had to ditch summer for all seasons, wife is a nurse and has to get to work even when it snows, though in DC it's usually more ice than snow.
Other Upgrades:
Headers
Exhaust
Cold Air Intake
Radio Head Unit
Decorative Trunk Lining
Painted Calipers

My C6 will be 13 years old this fall; I bought it new and did the buyer's tour at the factory, staying with the car for two days on the production line, starting it for the first time, riding through the water test and inspection cycle with the GM worker as it came off the line through final inspection. The only problem of any significance that I have had was last November....the infamous shifter lock out....in my case, couldn't get it into reverse or park. Fixed by dealer so it was not cheap. But, that has been the only issue I have had. It is a 2008 with low miles (just under 20k). Other than new tires, new battery, regular maintenance and a couple of minor recall items quickly fixed its been a super car that I love. IF (and that is a big if) there is a C8 in my future I will struggle to let it go. Good luck.
