Decided to remove my front license plate bracket and after removing plate i found someone had screwed it on. .
So after looking at those over sized and over priced bumper plugs i came up with my own solution...
I just ordered up some paint and clear, then some , # 2 Phillips screw covers... They are smaller than those push in bumper plugs and i didnt need to drill out the holes that were there and then be committed to them. I just used clear silicone to hold them on/in...Came out pretty good i say..
Nice. I did something similar on my Cobalt. Got some black plastic hole plugs from the hardware store and painted them with touch-up paint. Most people will never notice.
Wish mine would have been that easy to fix. Some idiot put it on with 1/4 inch lag bolts. There was also some type of epoxy behind it that had dripped down the bottom. Ended up having to use Plastic Bonder to fill the holes and sand down. I used rattle can on it for now but eventually am going to have the whole bumper painted.
Awesome. I was debating my options on what to do with the holes in my bumper. I bought a corvette plate to put on the bracket so I didn't have an empty bracket or the 2 big holes showing. Now I may have to look into this and see if I can have a cleaner looking bumper without the bracket. Love it!

what kind of silicon did you use? Would adhesive work better?
