So, I have had the car for about 2 months now and had been noticing not quite a "clunk" sound during engagement of the clutch. This was very noticeable at lower speeds and if you let off the accelerator and then accelerated. Yesterday I checked the axle nuts as I had discovered here in this forum as a possible culprit. I found that the right rear was just a tad loose, but after torqueing both sides, what a difference.
Again, surprised me with just that small adjustment the issue was resolved. Having said that, and based on what i have read, the long term solution is to replace the nuts and loctite in place, but glad to know that was the "true" issue.
Happened to me too. Good job identifying the problem. Yes, get two new axle nuts and red Loctite and to it properly. You will need quite the socket and hefty torque wrench so look into that too.
I just had my axle nuts off installing a rear big brake kit. There is a flat lock washer under the axle nut and one side of the washer looks very different than the other. Unfortunately I did not pay attention when I took it apart. I need to take a look in the manual to see what side goes out.
Nuts can be accessed by removing center cap, wheel does not need to be removed.

Probably the easiest way is to stick a loop of duct tape to the cap with a loop sticking up in the middle. Then use the loop as a handle to pull the cap off. Once the cap is removed you should have enough clearance to put a socket on the nut.
