I am having my 08 coupes driver seat re-upholsterd. When the seat is removed, what do we due to eliminate the false indicators of the seat belt and air bag lights often lighting up ?

I disconnected the battery before I pulled the drivers seat out the replace the skins. Put the seat back in connected the seat then the battery no issues. I don’t know if disconnecting the battery was necessary just did it anyway.

Anything faulty with the seats can usually be traced to pinched wires or loose/dirty connectors.
When you put the seat back in make sure the wiring harness is free and clear and un-damaged, then after you have plugged everything back in, use nylon Zip-ties to hold the connectors together.
Finally re-connect your battery (re-index the windows) and check the functions of the seat.
Hopefully this will solve your seats' hiccups. Good Luck. Please post some pics of your efforts.
I believe disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for (I do at least 15 minutes) before removing the driver's seat is to not set off the side air bags contained within the seat.
