I did a search on the forum, and in google, and could not find what part # the small, black shift detent button on the A6 is. One of the small pegs on mine broke off, and I need to replace it. I found one on Ebay, but they did not list a part number. I checked GMpartsdirect, and they had no listing. I don't want/need to buy the entire shifter. I just need the black button that you press to take it in and out of PARK.
it seems like there was a post on this last week. I think the discussion ended with that is a component part that is not available. Go back a week or so and see if you can find the post.

the shift control **** alone is available from GM p/n 20793588 for $100.76
I went ahead and bought the only button available on eBay. It's brand new. I know GM sells only the shift control, complete, though I have found other small parts on the forum, and Ebay. Three years ago, a forum member sent me the little grey plastic cover that goes behind the button, no charge, though I sent him $ anyway. Just shows that lots of these parts are in a Vette owners drawer, somewhere.

If you still have the broken button would you be willing to send it to me in Texas. I'm curious about it. If it is easy enough to model I could load it up so that people can 3D print replacements in the future.
