This was a rewarding add on. It reminds me of the difference between a C4 automatic and standard, dramatically different. I have really missed throttle response in the GS -- throttle response was more aggressive in my Navigator than in the Corvette. Now, even at S1, it meets sport car expectations. However, if you are old, large, overweight and inflexible, it might take you all day to allow for several brakes sufficient to recover from being upside down under the dash. The instructions are very good but the freaking pins holding the under dash panel are harder to remove than I expected even with the right tools.
So, if fuel economy isn't at the top of your list, I recommend a throttle controller. I have only used the Sport settings but imagine that I will change settings frequently. I installed Soler but I assume they all make a similar improvement. Also, I think that Soler might be on back order.
This is something that reprogramming can fix but then you are married to one response curve, right? Even though I have been happily married over 40 years, there are many areas of my life where I like variety.
I have not been compensated in any way for this post, but I can be bought.
