I got the dreaded check engine light. PO 449 and PO 455.

I'll check the gas cap, again. But any thing else to check?

My gas cap is Super loose and would fall out if the hatch was open. It has not thrown a code yet however. Is a loose gas cap a common malady of 2012 C6?

Just replace the cap. Aftermarket ones seem to work best. Its cheap and effective.

I have a 2013 and I'm on my 3rd gas cap.

Last 449 code I got proved to be the evap solenoid. You can replace yourself or have dealer do it (and harness) for way too much money

I will check/ change the cap first. Next step will be the evap solenoid.
