Default Strange electrical problem

2006 base automatic
Started the symptoms after we had a very strong rain and accidently left drivers window 1/2 open
security light on dash is always on window wont work mirrors wont work door lock wont work.

door still opens with buttons..

Then today shut car off and wouldnt start back up no lights or anything like the battery was disconnected but wasnt

climbed thru hatch opened door with emergency release
open the hood disconnected the battery for a few minutes and reconnected it and it started but windows and mirrors and security ight still on
get the car home let it sit for a couple hrs went out to car and everything works and security light is out

If i drive it for a while everything starts going crazy again same symptoms let it sit and goes back to almost normal sometimes just the window wont work and mirrors but no security ligjht ..its very strange

Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks

Strange symptoms to be sure. I guess that I would start and check inside the door to see what has been dampened, and if that dampness has spread to the carpets, the electrical connectors under the seat, etc.
my one question is why did you crawl into the hatch. On the driver side, in the hatch area, there is a pull handle that will open the driver door. It may be under the carpet, under that slit in the carpet where that pull handle is supposed
to pass through.

Good Luck in finding the issue.

The car was closed it wouldnt let me in had to use the key in the hatch to climb thru and use the handle on the floor to open the door and then open the hood to disconnect the battery
the carpet didnt really get wet mostly the inside of the door where the buttons are and i think inside the door where the regulator is

you know what DAMN i forgot about that the black tab i was so frustrated i just climbed right thru lmao

4sumerz was trying to tell you there is a handle in the rear hatch that you can pull to open the drivers door. No need to crawl up to the drivers compartment. It is on the drivers side under the carpet.

Check your battery. I had a bunch of electrical gremlins going on with my 09. I looked at the date on the battery, saw it was five years old, replaced it, and all of the gremlins disappeared.

First place you should check. Make sure the battery is good. Second place is to check the big electrical connectors under the passenger floorboard; disconnect and reconnect them, making certain they are fully seated.

Kind of an update got home from work drove my other car went up to the vette everything still screwed decided to open the hood and move some wires around near fuse box and a big plug next to the battery
also pushed on all the plugs in passenger side foot well under carpet looked over security light went out and everything was working i think there is a short somewhere either near the battery or under passenger side
carpet

In such cases I suspect the electrical connectors .
