It would be helpful to list which model you have, as none of the models I browsed in their current selection offered those features, which is part of the reason I haven't opted for Sony.

That's another thing I've been looking for, as I want a backup camera feature. Starting up the car and waiting 20+ seconds for it to fully boot does not sound appealing. I know some have the quick-boot feature, but I'll have to look more into that.

Thanks for that - was also going to ask how you ran your wires and grounded it. I have my sub to be installed on the drivers side as the battery is on the passenger side (GS MT6) - debating if I need to tap it or go to the front for power.

Can't remember how I ran the 12v power wire from the battery to the amp, but here is a diagram how the RCA wires are connected ...

This just shows the cables between the AOEM-GM24 adapter to the amp inputs ... Don't show wiring between the head unit to the AOEM-GM24 or the speaker wire from the 5-channel amp to the various speakers.

Don't know if this helps or not

Well, here is a photo of the main power cable for the audio system where it connects to battery voltage:

BTW ... That power cable that's laying above the battery tray (in the photo above) was relocated ... Obviously, I didn't want the battery laying on top the this cable

Oh ... BTW ... When I installed the above 5-channel amp, door speakers, rear speakers and sub 8 years ago, I was still using the OEM non-Bose head unit in the car.

That AOEM-GM24 adapter that I used with my old OEM head unit may not even be needed with the new Kenwood head units ... ????

It was only about a year ago that I installed the new Kenwood head unit.

I just put in the AX1000. The model below this and it’s a great stereo. I don’t think you can go wrong with this Sony line.

My DMX907S is almost instant with the backup camera.
Evidently Kenwood improved on this.
