Default GM Mesh Windscreen Question

When I purchased my 2008 convertible, it came with the mesh GM windscreen in the trunk. This past weekend I decided to see how it attached and it seemed to just sit in the mounted brackets when the top is down. My question is - what keeps it in the brackets? Does the force of the wind keep it from "lifting" out or am I missing something? I have searched this forum and others and cannot find an answer. Thanks. Jim

The windscreen fits snugly into the brackets. Wind moves through it rather than pushing up on it so you do not have to worry about it blowing away.
