I wish the car I am looking at had black interior, but it has saddle interior. Even the dash. Will the dash be notably seen on the windshield in bright sun light ?
like redconvert said, i have back dash. and the reflection can get bad in certain lighting conditions. I have tried cleaning it with everything, but it is still shiny.
I finally bought a dash cover after many yrs of reflections. Some Auto Dealer detailers like ArmorAll and I really don't know how to dull it. Maybe warm water w/a drop of Dawn. I asked a Body Shop-man and he said just time w/sun.
Sorry i should of said, If you wear polarized sunglasses the dash reflections on your windshield are no longer visible.
All of our sunglasses are polarized, even our prescription sunglasses.
Yes all dashboards of any color will have windshield glare. Was just out in my Z06 yesterday with the black leather dash & at some points the entire dash was reflected on the windshield. Tan will be the same.
Not sure if this will help. Lexol makes a vinyl treatment that inhibits the gas that comes off the dash when the sun hits. I realize this gas is not necessarily your concern but perhaps the Lexol product will have an overall positive effect.
My '05 had a black interior and the glare from the dash on the windshield was terrible. I tried everything to dull it and finally bought a dash mat but I didn't like the look of it either. My '13 has the blue interior and for whatever reason it doesn't reflect on the windshield very much at all and it is not bothersome when driving. I am cautious not to shine it up with any "product" and also trying to avoid the leather dash issues.
