I have headers from speed engineering but not the matching xpipe due to low stock on their part.
my question is do I have to have that exact one or can I just order a 3” xpipe from a shop and make that work.

Someone used the Texas speed midpipe with the Speed engineering headers and it worked for them. That being said, you can certainly just bring an X-pipe to a shop and have them weld and bend it to work.
If you want a straight bolt-on x pipe, you will need SE or Texas, OR...you can measure the inside distance between your headers (when mounted), and start comparing with other x-pipes. You will not find much difference, as the pattern for C6 headers is copied by most makers. I would think any decent muff shop could alter just about any header x-pipe...others may have experience with this, though.
Just curious from others...has anyone taken their stock x-pipe to a good shop and had it cut, then welded header extensions on to fit? I don't see why that could not be done, unless the "X" is too close to the front, and would be cut off.

I actually asked about making the stock piping I have fit with the headers. It’s costly and not worth it apparently, but doable
