I just put in a new head unit and installed a backup camera. I was a little apprehensive on doing it. But I did my research and just went for it. If you have the OEM head unit it might be worth changing it out. I did the MGW shifter swap a few years ago, not hard at all taking the console apart. I thought the backup camera was the easiest part.

I also would not go wireless, I had tried that in the past and it was so intermittent and quality was bad and had to have separate screen. I then got a clip on mirror with a wired camera which was good.
Finally I got a new head unit and added front and rear wired cameras. Love it and wish I had done this sooner.
