Stock LS3 NGK TR5 or TR55?
The stock plug gap is .040 on the ac Delco plugs. I’m going to put in some NGK plugs and the TR5 is gapped at .039 and the TR55 is .059. So why is it a lot of guys use the TR55’s?
I plan on getting the TR5 to keep the same stock gap unless someone can tell me why a TR55 would better. A lot of ppl will say just use a stock replacement ac delco and that’s fine but I’ve already decided on the NGK’s.

honestly don't have a awnser for. When we were building and racing Porsches we were running gaps in the 0.55 area however we were using some really high energy ignition systems. If your running around stock hp I'd stick with stock plugs and gaps. For high hp applications I'd get the advice from a really good engine builder who has dyno sheets to back up their claims.
