Find a new tire shop. I would imagine any modern shop would have a touchless tire machine now. The speed and not having to deal with a tire iron that could damage wheels is worth it in claims for a shoo that changes tire regularly.

You probably saw the picture of the damage that was posted at
the beginning of this thread.
Local Chevrolet dealership collision center quoted approx $3400 to fix the damage. They essentially wanted to dismantle the front and right side of the car, remove the door, etc to replace the plastic part and repaint/ blend door, front fender, etc.
Local small business quoted $188 to replace the plastic parts.
Car color is Crystal Red. I repaired the light minor paint scratches using Kiwi shoe polish Cordovan color. Nobody who has seen the paint “repair” has been able to notice it.
Should be an easy decision for the insurance company.
