Default 2007 3LT trim level options ?

In 2007 the base Corvette with the 3LT trim level, did it include a under-hood light ? If not is one still available ?

Thank you !

Not available. I think you can buy and add a light. Do a Google search.

The under hood light was deleted for model year 2007 by GM.

It was never a trim option. GM deleted it because it was causing too many new Vettes to be delivered with a dead battery because the light stayed on during transit and storage.

OK, I was able to find a OEM unit, now I have to decide if it's worth installing !

Thank you

You may have the factory wire harness near the radiator. This is a pic of my 2006 from the passenger side looking down at the radiator, you can see the underhood lamps wire harness plugged into the factory wire harness:

Yes, all C6 Corvettes have the electrical connection (my 2013 GS has the open connector), but not an open location on the under hood insulation where the light fixture would install. You would need to add that or find another way to hang the light.

It might still be there on the 2007 since that's the first year without it.

Is it the wire in the foreground, I'll have to check my wiring harness to see if I have that connector.

Thank you !

Yes, in the PIC it is the connection just to the left of center underneath the A/C metal hardline. You should have a 2-prong open electrical receptacle on your car.

I removed mine years ago as I update my hood liner frequently. What is the reason you want the light?
