Has anyone used this shop? Planning on using them to re-tune my car.

I have used them..... and I was very satisfied with what they were able to do for me with my C5 adding a supercharger, headers, clutch, suspension, shifter, and dyno tune. they got me 529 rwhp on a stock bottom back in 2006 and it ran like a champ no problems ever.

Dan is very good at what he does and stands behind his work. So yes go there with confidence.

Thank you sir.

By any chance what injectors did you use when you got your car built. I find it that a lot of tuners around in IL prefer IDs. I on the other hand have FIC (fuel injector connection). Seems like Dan is the only person that’s willing to touch them. This either shows that he’s a good tuner, or a spray and pray tuner.. lol.

I currently have a 2010 Grand Sport. I actually did not go back to Dan I went to Speed Inc, in Schaumburg..... I was VERY satisfied with what they did for me down there.
They used Siemens injectors on my current C6.

gotcha. Speed was 1 of the shops who suggested to swap out my injectors before they tune it.

his tune overall, was it pretty spot on? Conservative? Aggressive? Just trying to squeeze all the juice out of the lemons.

There tune was spot on in my opinion they are very aware where the limits are and they will only push them so far. So I would say they did a great job for me. I believe you decide how aggressive you want to be by how deep your pockets are

Dan knows his business. I travel 350 miles to get work done at FLP since 2005. I trust no one else.

If you are in the Chicagoland area I highly recommend giving Modern Muscle in Plainfield a shot. The owner is a great guy and his prices are fair and the work they do is excellent. I speak from experience with them. They are very customer oriented, unlike some other speed shops where once you spend your money with them they don't like to see you come back unless you want to spend more money.

Ive had 3 separate builds already with different cars, and everytime I email them I get no response. I have yet to get in the door with the shop.

Interesting. Let me see if I can get their attention because that certainly wasn't my experience with them. I used to live close to their shop when it was in Oswego and would stop by on my way home from work. I also went to all of their open houses and dyno days.

I sent Modern Muscle an email late Saturday after I read this......they had already closed. They don't open on Monday, but I got a response to my email an hour after they opened up this morning. Brad, who runs the front office, and Justin, the owner, are good people. I don't know why they don't respond to you. I haven't spoken with either of them since I moved out of Illinois in 2013, but Brad responded immediately to my email.
