Default Oiling system

Found this on GMinsidenews.com. Someone claims to be working on a dry sump system for the C6. I don't know why this would be necessary, but it's possible. Anyone heard anything to support that?

They wanted to go with dry sump for the LS1. Hib Halverson states "a dry sump oil system for LS1 was studied, but never went past the paper stage due to cost and concerns about low oil temperature during warm-up".

Perhaps they fixed this low temperature issue.

I saw it here too , Scott. The current LS1 had lots of trouble with oil starvation in curves (as I read it ACR). It might be a way to lower the engine a bit too. I think it is overkill for the street. However, if it makes the driveshaft tunnel lower so much the better for cabin room. :chevy
