Hello, im a noob in the forums but I have a questions that I can't find the answer too. I've looked in the forums but im still lost. I have a 2005 z51 corvette M6. I broke 4th gear. I'm replacing the transmission with 2006 corvette M6 Transmission my friend sold to me. I found a diff from a 09 corvette that had a tr6060. Would that diff be compatible with my 2006 transmission ? Thanks in advance.

 

As long as both the trans and diff are base model, then yes.

 

I would check and double check, I do know that the diff in the 05 is different than the 06's and up. When my son blew the diff and I had it replaced with a RPM STG4 there was a special bracket that had to be supplied to make it work with the 05.

I am no specialist but I do know that the 05 first year of the C6's that the rear diff is the weak link in the drive train which was corrected in 06.
