Seen worse,
Hence starts off as dog destroying chew toys to keep them occupied,
Then just goes bigger with them seeing the SMC panels on the Vet a chew toy as well,
In the ops photo, would guess that is started off as a chipmonk/something small in the vent that they where trying to get to, then maybe chased it to the tire area when the dog went after the fender next. I don't see any chew damage to anything else in the photo, so guessing that it was animal driven event (them trying to get to it), and not just chew toy thought driven event instead.
A while back I found a great deal on a C3 because the owner's dog had chewed up the front fenders. Not as bad as those other pics. Pretty easy fix on an otherwise solid car that only cost me $3K.
I'm a lifetime dog lover. That being said were I to ever see any dog chewing on either one of my corvettes I'm getting out the 45-70 and ending it's existence.

Problem is, that the owner in the case of using the car as chew toy, did not train the dog correctly in the first place.
As for dog going after animal, not going to de-train that out of a dog that has natural instincts of a outside/hunting type dog, so just have to go with the flow and let your insurance cover the damage instead.
Truth is, with the amount of rust on the rotors from the car sitting so long, can only guess what decided to build a nest in the car in the first place that the dog(s) got a extra meal that day. All we know, is the animal(s) must of have been small, since we don't see a blood bath if they would have pulled out something larger like a raccoon instead.
My pups (brother and sister) ate a couple good sized holes in my walk in closet. I just got it fixed - pups will be pups. My fault for not watching them or crating while I was gone.
