Steering wheel controls
Long time lurker, first time poster...
so basically I’m looking for the buttons and the bezel for bluetooth controls on my 09 C6 narrow body. The car has the audio controls on the right hand side but not the Bluetooth, I’m aware there is a whole mess of other things needed but I dont intend to actually use it for Bluetooth, my plan is to activate my 2 step / launch control. I’ve searched all over and so far the only option I’ve found is to buy an whole steering wheel, if that’s the only option than so be it.
Basically I want to avoid disrupting the natural layout and looks of the interior but add the items I need.

Left side buttons and even pod cover are available to replace your none button side. Used they go for around $40 with cover, while new, around $100 instead.
The base wheel,
and the side panels and pod buttons get added as needed, or not installed and side panel gets a blank off plate isntead.
Hence covers/blank off panel is removed from the back side bolts, then button pod installed cover put back on and Bob is your uncle for at least the button part on the whell.
Next may be that you may need to replace your clock spring if it does not have the extra jumper connector for the left hand side pod buttons.
The last one, depending on the car, may need to add the needed wiring to clock spring connectors at the column connector.
As for the buttons on the steering wheel (both sides), they send a digital signal on the lan bus, so in regards to using them for something after market, may need something to intercept the digital signal from the gm lan on the serial 2 bus to make it work with the after market device. Yes, the after market radio module with steering control functions do this for the after market radio's since it has the needed serial 2 wire, but may not for the module you want to use if not tied to use the GM serial 2 signal for it digitial inputs off the steering wheel selected buttons.
