My #1 key fob just took a crap, it opened the door, I got it, and said no key fob, tried everything, used the emergency release to get out swapped batteries the new batteries, and still nothing, so I used my #2 and off to the car show.
Just bought new one from Amazon, and just looked in the owners manual looking to program a key fob, I read it someplace, and now I need instructions.
Before you do any programming of fobs, check the voltage on that battery you just put in the fob. Many forum members have had a problem with new batteries purchased from some place that doesn't sell many and they get old and lose voltage. Buy one from WalMart.
Also be sure you don't have a cell phone plugged in somewhere in the car.
There are 2 different procedures for programming fobs. The short one just adds the new fob as the next fob number. If that number is 3 or 4, it doesn't have access to the car's options.
