Like in the olden days of adjusting spark advance by rotating the distributor & adjusting fuel mixture by replacing carburetor jets or adjusting idle speed/mixture, today's engines are "tuned" electronically by use of software programs that adjust settings in the ECM. There's much more to it, including "tuning" of auto tranny's (if so equipped), but this is a basic explanation. If you're looking at getting a tune, I would strongly recommend East Coast Supercharging (ECS) just across the river from you in Cream Ridge NJ.... https://eastcoastsupercharging.com/

Thanks for the input...now next question, what does a tune like the one in your description cost?
Mine didn't include everything listed there since i want aiming for high performance and wasnt interested in any dyno runs.
I had to get mine tuned because the previous owner had done a diy tune and had really messed up the shift points and fuel mixtures.
The full performance tune with dyno pulls would likely cost more than what i paid. It was a while ago i don't remember the exact cost but it was several hundred dollars.

A "Street" tune the tuner should drive the car...and usually with a dyno tune the tuner does that too...so just put the car on the dyno.
Or with a cann'ed tune you need to buy some tool or another to load the tune, so by the time you buy that and then load your tunes, the dyno tune would be done with correctly and for less $.
