Default torque tube problems

I have 46,000 miles on by 2006 Corvette, I have a noise I think is in the torque tube. I am located in SE Louisiana. Can it be re-build or should I replace?

That's not much to go on but if you do a search for TT rebuild you can replace bearings and guibos. I suggest finding a local corvette shop that does this type of work. GM dealers won't rebuild but will replace and last I checked a TT part cost alone was $800-$1000 just for the part and I'm sure labor costs would be pretty high.

its not bad... reach out to RPM transmissions for the rebuild kit.... and here's how you do the TT rebuild if you're up to it yourself.... https://www.rpmtransmissions.com/page9.html

It's most likely one of the bearing on the drive shaft I've had a rattle for over a year on my 08 so last week i took it to a place to get under it and he pulled the cover off the bell housing on the torque tube on the tranny end(Auto) and you can hear one of the bearing rattling like hell I'm not sure if that bearing will come apart or not? There is another bearing close to it...Two on the tranny end....Anyway I order a complete loaded OEM drive shaft from Rock Auto for $685.00....Best price then the other GM parts places online...The is no reason to replace the housing (Torque Tube) now I'm trying to fine a place to replace it in my area...And it will NOT BE a damm Dealer.......Note: The part# for the drive shaft is 89059715 OEM...Good Luck

I had a local Corvette mechanic rebuild mine for around $900 parts and labor.
