Default Odd problem I noticed today . . . locks

I got the windows tinted today, and for the first time I noticed that even after I locked the Vette with the fob, the doors were still functional and or open, is this normal or am I doing something wrong ?

Thank you ,

Did you press the door lock button twice? If the lock button is pressed twice, the doors will lock, the light will flash and the horn will sound. To unlock, press once to unlock the driver door, twice for both the driver and passenger doors.
Maybe passive lock feature is active so when you get close to the car with the FOB, the door will unlock..Section 3 of the owners manual.

Your personal settings might have been changed with battery disconnect or something tint guy did.

Yeah, I was standing right next to the car, but the car is so pristine and original I just have to think it's something I'm doing or not doing that's the problem. I just learned how to set the personal settings , Seat and mirrors, but I have a replacement battery coming from Summit, and I'll have to disconnect the battery then, so I need to figure this quirk out soon ! Thank you guys !

Installing a new car battery should not require resetting anything except for the window indexing.
With the engine running and the window down, close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done. Don't forget the other window.

This will need to be done to both windows every time the car battery is disconnected, then reconnected, or when a new battery is installed in the car.

. Are you standing next to the car with the FOB in your possession ? If you are, the car is doing what it is supposed to do.

The way my settings are, my car will not lock if I'm within 3-4 ft and the fob is in my pocket.

Lock the car. Put the fob 20 feet away and see if you can get in
