ok guys I'm done going to GM dealer to change diff oil to make it quiet around corners. Two diff oil changes as per TSB that fixes for a while then scrape/grind comes back. Please don't tell me to take apart differential clutch because I'm not ready to spend that kind of money. I'm willing to try another brand of oil or whatever to get a lasting result. I would like to here what others have done that brings results. Thanks for your comments, Jim

Did you take it to an empty parking lot and drive a dozen or so slow speed tight figure 8s to work the oil into the clutch packs?
Yes, do this first. If the problem almost disappears and then after a short drive on curving city streets the problem should be gone.
If not then buy the correct ACDelco oil (check here on the forum for part number) drain out the old oil and add ACDelco. If you are not going to do it yourself then watch and make sure they use ACDelco you purchased. Then again start again with the slow speed figure 8's

I would like to think the dealer used the right diff oil. I would prob go to a specialty shop and have it changed. I believe the proper fluid is p/n 88862624 perhaps superseded by p/n 88900330. If that does not solve the problem it isn't the problem.
This is the correct gear oil, which incorporates the proper friction additive, but no disrespect, your comment is not correct. If the old gear oil is fully drained (i.e. let it sit & drain for a couple of hours) the old oil will drain out of the clutch packs as well as the housing. When refilled, the figure 8 exercise is needed to drive the fresh oil back into the clutch packs.
