yes, it was tuned by kyletunedit thru renegade hybrids.kyle may have only done a quicky set up.im trying to avoid paying 500 plus for a dyno tune to locate the trouble(if its even in the tune)

Would it happen to have one of those after market throttle controllers hidden somewhere?

The car doesnt need to go on the dyno for a driveability tune. It would be better for that to be done on the street, so the car can mimic to the tuner what it's doing to you, then the tuner can make adjustments as needed. Hotcams are not big cams compared to most stage 2 & 3 off the shelf, and smaller than most custom cams, so it's likely the tune.

I have another car (not my Corvette), purchased new, that exhibited the same things you describe when it was factory stock, with a hair trigger throttle and terrible rev hang. The sad part, is that there was nothing wrong with the car. That was how the factory tune behaved. After I put enough miles on the car to be confident that it wasn't going to have serious reliability problems, I purchased a programmer and a mild tune. The tune added a few horsepower, but not enough to really matter. It did completely cure the drivability issues, though. With the tune, the pedal response is linear and there is no trace of rev hang. It was like buying a whole new car.

If had a mods on the car like you describe, there is no way that I would try to cut costs on the tune. I would gladly spend $500 for a custom tune. Beyond drivability, you will probably get much more than the cost back when the car lasts longer. An improper tune can significantly impact the reliability and longevity of a car with power mods.
