So I have looked all over for some replacement climate control/ radio control ***** and I can not find any that don't have the chrome rings (not a chrome fan) or aren't way overpriced. They're are some painted aluminum options out there, they are like $80 🤢, but idk how long the paint would stay (never had much luck with painted aluminum) Anyone found any replacements that are a reasonable price without the chrome rings? I know I could just pop the rings off but I'm just a little too OCD to see the recess where the ring should be 😆

You can easily paint the chrome rings Pop them off, paint them your color of choice, pop them back on. Mine are painted in Rustoleum night black metallic to match the rest of the previously silver trim and center console/radio bezel.
I will GLADLY trade you the 2 from my radio. Near perfect condition. Car has 83k miles, but came with a Kenwood touch screen installed. I'm not sure how many of those miles were with the original radio and kn0bs. I only like OEM head units and LOVE the chrome rings. My hvac control already has chrome rings, so I just have the 2 from the radio to trade, if interested.
I recall the 2005 Vette AC ***** did not have chrome rings.
But my memory may be incorrect.

This^^^ is correct! I just bought some new ***** for my climate control from a vendor in the parts for sale/wanted section. Also bought new inside door switch buttons from them as well.
