I just had my A6 transmission rebuilt and reinstalled in my 2006 . Trans works great but now i am having electrical issues. Installer pulled the radio fuse as it was staying on. As long as fuse is in it seems to screw up the CAN buss system. Door would not open, car would not go into accessory mode and would not start. Pulled the fuse and everything works fine again. I have an aftermarket Kenwood radio. everything had been working fine before the trans repair. I know he had to flash the TCM and marry it to the car but could this be causing the issues. No codes showing up on scan. Any help would be appreciated. I did disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes hoping that would reset everything but no go. He did tell me the battery had gone down and he had to charge it. Battery is only about 18 months old.
Sent you a IM, but after market radio module needs to be re- firmware flash with its stock firmware from its manufacturer, since will bank that radio fuse was not pulled when the TCM was flashed, and the TDS firmware flash corrupt the after market firmware since it tied into the car on the serial 2 bus.
Hence the dead giveaway is pulling the radio fuse has the car back to normal.
Also, check the car for XM module and GM Pal units, since not used for the Kenwood desk, and they should be at least unplugged, or pulled to be sold off isntead.
Note, was a oem update flash that caused problem with the GM PAL units, and Kawal can re-flash the Pal if that is the problem/still in use.
