I own a 2005 z51 continental extreme contact sport tires
half wore no signs of dry rot or cracking. I checked the date code and they were made in 2011!
man I taking a chance or should I order new tires immediately
Yes, replace them, especially if you are doing any sort of harder driving. Tires effect so many important aspects of your car, namely handling and braking. Ones that are 10 years old will be compromising those aspects.
I do feel your pain and it does suck with how big tires on the corvette are, but it is really worth it. Tirerack and discounttiredirect have been best for me in the past.
I would stay with the same tires you have as they are priced fair and great tires but yes, get new ones soon!! Also strongly recommend replacement of the TPMS monitors while doing the tires. They're not that expensive and they're due as well even if they were replaced with the tires in 2011.
Go to Rock Auto and get the Schrader brand, about $20 each. Tire shop shouldn't charge you much if anything to put them in.

Great!! Good choice and you'll be glad you changed the TPMS sensors (however you'll never know!!) Better and cheaper to do them now than have to take it back later. I had new tires put on at Discount Tire and the sales person never said anything about the sensors. Then about a 100 miles later I get a DIC message "check TPMS system" and sure as heck one sensor was bad. Later learned this can happen if they're old and then disturbed (total loss of pressure then full pressure again). At that point I figured might as well do them all. Wish someone had told me to do them at the time!!
Wanted to mention for others. The old rubber is harder so all grip will suffer including braking. Even if you were an easy driver, if you needed to slam on your brakes, you would not stop as fast on 10 year old rubber.
