Exhausted all other reasons for my no start issue..... Down to the starter, which is too much for me to handle on the tight space I'm in......Dealer parts prices are crazy high, and saw this on Amazon (new, not rebuilt for $99) and cross checked the part number from AC delco on their site and it matches....
Almost seems to good to be true, considering the dealer pricing, but found the same part number several places online for $92-350
Any reason not to order this and take it to the shop and have them install...

You'd be better off replacing the solenoid first as that's usually the cause of the problem in most cases.
I've done allot of reading about the over heated Blakelite on the Solenoid getting brittle due to the proximity to the exhaust manifold and thought that was most likely the cause since I have checked very other thing I have been told to check.... but Solenoid is almost half the price of a new starter, and if I have a dealer charging me to get to it, I figured might as well replace the starter and be done with it...
wish I had more space to do the work myself, but it's impossible where it is squeezed in my garage, only a few inches away from the wall on the passenger side...and my driveway is steep so I can't pull it out to work on it....
Gonna have to flat bed the dam thing....ugh...

It's $23 on Amazon but it sounds like a shop may be your only choice.
Yeah, just want to make sure that there is no reason to spend an extra $300 for the oem dealer part.... since this checks out on the AC delco official site as a match for my car....
My corvette specialty shop is booked out for over a month and don't know who else to trust, so I just want to have parts in hand when I flat bed this to the dealer...
In an area as big as Atlanta, you should have have at least one auto electric repair shop. Call and discuss a time to fix it. You can start the engine by popping the clutch on your steep driveway to get you there. As long as you need to pay for labor, you'll be better off using the guys who do the rebuilds, than the guys who just sell and mark up rebuilds that may be on their shelf.
Get to know the local car guys (especially Vette guys) who may have garage space and even help for simple stuff.
What's the procedure for bump starting a c6? I'm guessing, Hit the start button so it's in accessory mode then pop the clutch like any other car I've bump started.
Unfortunately I'm going to be going in reverse, which I've never tried with any other car, but I'm guessing the gearing is plenty low enough to generate the bump needed? But it's a short driveway and if I don't generate enough speed then I'm going to be in a weird spot the way my road is in front of my property....
I know there are auto electric shops around, but I've always found the brand new factory replacements didn't let me down, so for $99 it seems like a no brainer..... And I need someone I trust to pull my exhaust manifold to get to the starter from what I can tell... And wanted to make sure I have a qualified person to handle it....
And I don't have a friend that's ready to let me use his shop and his skills to get the job done on short notice...

It would need to be in run mode, not accessory.
To do this you press and hold the start button. It'll go into accessory first and while you keep pressing, the gauges will sweep.
This also usually turns on the headlights so you'll want to turn them off so as not to kill the battery.
Thanks.....only have one chance at this so I need to get it right.....
So I'm pushing the actual top start button and holding or the accessory bottom part on the button and holding?
Because when I just try to do a normal start, I just get a click and then the gauges sweep and looks like it would be ready to bump start.......
If I hold the bottom of the button, it cycles and says accessory mode and the goes to the next mode but the gauges don't sweep?
common sense says to just hit the regular start button once and then bump it....

Regardless of how you get there, as soon as the gauges sweep you're in run mode.
To be extra sure just cycle through some of the settings on the DIC. You should see things like 12V (approx), 0 psi for the oil pressure etc.
In forward, I always would say you need 5 mph to get it to bump.....
Short driveway & in reverse I'm questioning whether I can even get enough speed....
I may need to round up some muscle from the neighborhood teenagers to push me back in to the drive if it doesn't crank.....
