Default Bilstein B6 ride height question

Does anyone know how far you can lower the C6 on Bilstein B6 shocks. I have the B6’s and lowered my car about 3/4 inch and am getting a strange noise in the rear when I drive over a bump or dip in the road. It’s not a squeak more like a hollow drum sound, like a small boom. Just wondering if the shocks are bottoming out and I need to change to the B8’s. Anyone experience anything like this??

B6's and B8's are the exact same size so that shouldn't make a difference.

You should be able to lower the car as far as you wish or as far as the suspension allows so long as you are within the shocks stoke range... this is true of any shock.

Now what is the ideal ride height with a specific shock is a different question...

I have B6’s. On 08 Z51 3/4” should not make a difference. Check your toque on your lug nuts. Or re toque them.

I have Heavy Duty (now called B6) and am about 3/4-inch lowered with no problems. Have been for years ...
