Default HELP! Need C6 convertible experts!

I have an '05 vert and the wind noise, especially doing 80 down the interstate has been an issue for some time. So I've been reading all the info here I can find on replacing the top and the headliner. Looking at my headliner it sags quite a bit just over the driver's head and also the same on the passenger side. Tonight I partially opened the top to see if there might be some place where the headliner was supposed to be tucked in to hold it but found nothing. Is the headliner just open at the sides or is it supposed to be fastened tight to something? My convertible top itself is in great shape. It's just the headliner. I was considering replacing it but would like to know exactly how it fastens on the sides, if it does.

Thanks
Barry

gdmoore01, Thanks for the referral. I have read his thread at least half a dozen times. And although it is an incredible write up it doesn't furnish me the info I need on exactly how the headliner fits on the sides. I have PM'd the author with some questions but so far no reply. I have book marked his instructions in case I have to remove the top somewhere down the road. I really don't want to. I'd rather find a way to either adjust my headliner or install a new one. I also downloaded his PDF file on the removal too but again, since this is a somewhat difficult job to replace I want to make certain thats what I have to do before I jump into the process.

Thanks

On my vert, I do not notice anything holding the inner liner above the door, except that the strings hold it tight. Mine is a 2013 and the liner is tight enough that it just sits above and slightly tucked into the frame above the door. My guess is that the strings on yours have failed somewhere resulting in the liner becoming loose.

Good point. Ill have to take some of the top loose and check the strings and see if that might be the problem. I wonder if I can just replace the strings or if they come with the new headliner?
