C6 LS2 dyno results
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to share my recent dyno results for my 2007 C6 base. A little history on the car. I purchased it from the original owner last August with only 32k miles on it. LS2, M6, bone stock when purchased.
This summer I purchased and installed a set of TSP headers, non catted X pipe, and retained the stock mufflers. I took it to Late Model Throttle in Waukesha WI this week. Picked it up this afternoon and am very happy so far with the results. 375/377 to the wheels.
The car feels much better and the improvement in power was very noticeable to say the least. Future plans include head porting, and cam swap.

Why no cats?

You also did not say anything about getting a custom tune...did you? If not, that is where you will find much more power, with no other mods being done.
Yes, they do sell a catted version, but were out of it for a long time. I have the full set, with cats, in a box in my garage. Waiting for cooler weather to get under the car for the install.

Difference could be ambient temperature and I’m sure it was tuned while on the dyno.

I like the gain in power, but am missing something in the graph. You gained 5hp for some reason, but no indication of what it is. I assume they did two pulls, but am wondering what was done between the two to gain 5hp and 7lb/ft.

As far as the catted Texas Speed x pipe, I'm sure they were out of stock. As all of us know, inventory has been low on alot of parts. Get those headers and x pipe on! Even in hot weather, it's an easy job!

Personally I’d install a catted mid section and sell the off-road. The 2 hp max loss is worth ditching the odor.

If you ever start engine mods you’ll notice it big time. I suffered through 2 years before I finally made the change back to high flow cats. That odor is clothing and skin penetrating.

I did a cam swap in my Silverado and didn't notice it. I also built several Oldsmobile 455s and ran them through Hooker Super Comps/ 3inch Pypes exhaust in my 71 Cutlass and had an odor. Thanks for your concern, but once again it didn't bother me.

Each vehicle can sound different depending on mod combinations. Headers and hi flows will make a big diff but actually describing sound is virtually impossible.

You can also hear the tinny hollow header sound through them, which I like. The x pipe definitely gives it a nice touch too.
