I believe the consensus will be that it is better to buy the last year of a generation rather than the first year of a new one since the bugs & kinks will have been ironed out by the final production year. You are not comparing apples-to-apples since each successive generation is an advancement from the prior one.
I believe that the 2014 has been probably the least problematic year of the gen.
Rarely hear of a peep of a problem from that year.
2 totally different cars. C6 or C7. It's up to you which style you prefer. Like above the last year is generally better than the first year, but either will be fun.
I agree. Moreover, C6 and C7 have significant engine differences, e.g., C7 has AFM (8 cyl to 4 cyl) but C6 does not. I happen not to like AFM, but you may like the improved fuel economy that it provides.
you have been a corvette forum member for more than 15 years, and you don't know how to post a photo on the corvette forum ???
i have had no need to post any pictures on the forum. Besides what do you care? If you have nothing to add to the original question mind your own business!
I DID IT!!!!!

I care because I would like to see some pictures of your 63 Corvette that you . "only had out of the garage twice in the last 2 years".
You might want to stay with a C6 - the C7 might be too Techy for a guy who cant post a photo.- but Cheers and So my input would be this - I have two C6 Grand Sports -- a 2012 and a 2013 both M6, best car ever - and yes I have driven a C7 -- dont like the Sardine in a can feel.

He may not be “Techy” enough to post a photo but he probably can correctly spell “cant”.
Just good natured ribbing here Snowboarder!
Seriously, (and I’m not insinuating you’re doing this) why jump all over a guy because he’s not sure how to post a photo?
Last time I checked, it’s not a prerequisite to be a forum member.

just pokin a little phun -- hey it's the Corvette Forum -- gotta have thick skin around here specially if you have a C7 with Camaro Tail Lights.
I’ve had few problems with buying first year vehicles and I’ve bought a bunch. While most want to wait it out, I’m driving one. 85 Cad Fleetwood and 99 GC Limited easily the worst ever for me. I’d go with a newer body style. Any issues (if any) should have been addressed long ago.
