Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The inside door switch works just fine all the time. The outside door switch works fine when it is cool or has been setting in the garage, however when it has been setting outside in the heat you have to press the switch over and over in different places for it to finely work I replaced the switch with a new one and it still has the same problem. Anyone ran into this.
Could be your fob battery is going out. I had a similar problem and just took the outside door switch apart and cleaned it. Worked great afterwards. Also could be something in your pocket blocking the signal.

I did awhile back. I suggest one more test:
When this happens, go to the passenger side door and see if you have the same result. If the passenger door opens as it should then I would investigate your exterior pad switch. It is very easy to replace.

Here's a video showing how to clean the contacts in the switch, just when removing it be careful the wire connector doesn't fall inside the door.
Inexpensive part to buy and less then 15m to replace. You’ll likely be trouble free for over a decade. Cleaning them is tedious and often doesn’t last long at all before failing again.

Replace with new is almost always better. However, If you don't want to buy a new one the cleaning procedure is fairly easy.
(After removal from the car, of course) separate the two halves.
(Oh, as mentioned, you attached something to the connector so it doesn't fall into the door.)
Wipe the metal contracts area clean.
Rub an eraser ( one of those pink ones is ideal) across the contacts and shine them up. (Couple of quick passes)
Wipe the contacts area clean again. I used a little electronics contact cleaner also on a rag.
Put Dielectric Grease on the seal edge all the way around. (I did NOT put any on the metal contacts)
Reassemble.
Four years later still perfect with little effort. YMMV
