Default Ac compressor failure/ replacement

Well my AC compressor failed on my 2005 Corvette today. I have ordered a replacement compressor as well as condenser and expansion valve with the intent of replacing it myself. I am not an air conditioner mechanic but do you have years of mechanical experience and have access to the necessary tools to do the job myself. Was hoping some of the AC mechanic types in the forum could guide me in the steps to perform the AC swap correctly and to get everything back up and running. My plan is to do the job correctly not skipping any steps such as evacuation or flushing of the system.
Any help/ input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Good luck.

My 05 AC clutch went out last summer and had my mechanic do it all for $2400.

Wish I could help but AC systems I do not know much about.

I swapped the compressor on mine in the garage. The service manual (and therefore most shops) state you must drop the subframe to remove it. This is not true. You may need to trim a 10mm socket to fit it on one of the lines next to the frame, but it can come out without too much work. The condenser may be less fun, but I've never removed it.
