I know Ocean Pkwy and was on it a couple of times in the past. Haven't been that way in maybe 10 years but I was told cops are watching more closely than in the past. Any truth?

Several years back, in the early days of the Kerbeck Toys for Tots event, the start point was the Farley Service Area on the AC Expressway. Several hundred Vettes would gather there & feed out onto the expressway headed towards exit 2 & Bader Field. Eastbound "civilian" traffic was actually held up west of the service area. Hit 146 on the speedo & was blown away by several who must have been doing 160-170+. Good fun....

consider that Gosple. Theres also cameras on the Bridge and a freakin Trooper behind every bush. Captree is now revenue collection. No front plate....dont go there......too loud....dont go there ......front plate not 14 inches off the pavement.....dont go there. Just aint fun anymore. But they did repave the Nassau side and it stops right at the Suffolk line in jarring wakeup call......lol

Those were the good ol days, I don’t even think they do a cruise anymore. Dumbasses posting videos going over 200mph with toys for tots in the title, was definitely that event and definitely caused the cancel.

There is stretch mid-way from Jones Beach to Cape Tree East bound that goes from three lanes to two. As soon as it changes...You open her up! State Troopers are around, but not as much on Ocean Pkwy.

thanks for the heads up, I’ve been using the bridge to ‘gather data’ for years.
I did stop going to captree and OBI years ago after two plate tix. Maybe they should invest more of their time looking for a serial killer.

Never considered myself that good of a driver. Several years ago (2009 base coup) I hit 111 trying out the sound of my new Corsa sport exhaust. Car sounded fantastic. No mods other than Corsa axel back. The old girl pulls so hard, runs so easy, Her name is Thelma Lou.

I've gone faster in my former '11 Mustang GT. Close to 155mph.
Both have a lot more in them, especially the 'Vette, cause it has more top end.

The Mustang GT is actually limited to 155mph…The C6 on the other hand had a lot more in it!
