Buy a corvette
harmonic balancer, gas tanks, & tires. The tires aren’t really an issue but just common sense to check the tires and make sure they’re not worn out, or really old. Some cars don’t get driven a lot so the car may have low mileage but the tires could be the originals, so for a 2008 or 2009 they could be 13 year old tires.
best of luck

Look at on prospect cars:
• Inspect clutch fluid(if M6). Original reservoir is clear(clutch pedal will stick to floor when it fails), updated is black. The updated MC is part # 19331709 & is $87.84
• Look for harmonic balancer for wobble ($1000-$1500 fix)
• look at tire date codes (wk/yr)
• knocking noise from under car during test drive (torque tube issue)
• inspect weather strip
• Check for open recalls.
• Take VIN(or call) to GM service department to please print the VIS and build sheet. One will show any repairs done at a GM dealer, the other will show the build date and build options. And, they are free.
After purchase:
• Register VIN at chevy.com to see open recalls. Check warranty tab in owners section.
• Call the National Corvette Museum with the VIN and ask for Betty in Records and Registration.
• She can tell you everything about the car.
