Default Celebrating One Year

Today marks one year ownership of my 2008!
Let me just start by saying, this has been the most reliable car I’ve owned thus far.
Only regular maintenance needed.
I bought it for $23k just after I turned 22 yrs old, it only had 53k miles.
I am currently at 71k daily driven!

I still remember the day when I bought my Corvette a little over 15 years ago.

I concur about the reliability of the C6 platform. I hsve 110000+ miles on the clock, and beside replacing the water pump at 30k miles, only regular items have needed replacement.
I will say that in the 12 years of ownership, this has been the most reliable and least expensive per year to operate.

Thank you all, I’m sticking with Corvette & jumping straight to the C8 in the near future!
I just hope reliability continues on with the LT2

Tomorrow is a year I have my 2013 that I got with only 34,000 miles, and I couldn't agree with you more, it's been a great car. We've put 7,000 miles on it, which is pretty good considering I work from home and it is mostly just used on the weekend, a vacation down to FL, and Corvette club trips. My only regret is not buying one sooner.

It is easy to get hooked once you own and drive a Corvette. The C6 is an amazingly reliable and fun Corvette. Next month will be 2 years for me and my 2006 C6 M6 Convertible. I love it and can't wait to get behind the wheel every morning.
I had a C5 M6 Coupe for nearly 14 years of reliable fun prior to the C6. Owning and driving a C5 is pretty much the same experience with less gadgets. They are pretty much the same car.
I have owned many Corvettes since 1978 and fortunately for me all have been reliable. As long as you maintain these cars they will run forever. The Corvettes that I have owned have been relatively easy cars to maintain and care for. If you drive them, maintain them and don't let them sit they are bullet proof.

No front plate in CA? :-) Don't blame you - I don't run one either in MO.

I have gotten a ticket for no front plate believe it or not.
I just pay the fine, looks more exotic without one.

Luckily, I now live in NC where we don't have to have front plates. When I lived in places where they required a front plate, I just mounted the plate on the front plate bracket and kept it in the car, just in case I got pulled over. It only happened one time. I told the officer that it "just fell off the other day and I haven't had time to put it back on yet" and showed him the plate in the bracket. He let me go with a warning.

Other than the fact that the Auto (which is what I have) was a 4 speed on the C5 & that there is a pretty decent power difference from a C5 & 08 C6 base (about 94 HP difference in my case)
I’ve never had the pleasure to drive a C5 but I’ll take your word for it!

I actually did the exact same thing & had it mounted on the bracket inside the car just in case.
No luck in my circumstance
