I have heard some stories about storing your C6 or any vehicle for the winter and what to do about the tires so there is no flat spot on those expensive tires after storing it so long on the hard cold concrete. I’ve looked at several options including those Flat Spot stopper product. I’m thinking about getting some high density foam board, cutting then into 12”x18” and setting the tires on them.
So what does everyone do to prevent the flat tire syndromes. The simplest the better.
I've got 4 pieces of outdoor carpet positioned so that they're under the tires. That's probably not even necessary. 4 winters so far and no flat spots.
Air up your tires to within 10# of maximum printed on sidewall. In the spring add or delete to what your recommended pressure says on driver's door jamb. Simple and no cost.

I have been doing this on multiple different cars that "hibernate" during the winter for years, I have never had an issue with flat spots.
Leave them alone, once you begin driving in the spring the tires will warm up on their own and any ' flat spot, if any' will disappear. But were only talking about 90 days or so of non use, any tire of recent manufacture will be fine. This only happens on old bias-ply tires and it really takes a long time of non use !
New tires roll out the flat spots in a couple minutes… you should hear and feel the old stiff nylon tires many moons ago.. slap the pavement for days… I park my car in the garage normally and have never had any problems. Battery maintainers are a absolute must.
Zero reason to do this and I have read that it could actually be detrimental to the suspension to just let it "hang" for months on end.
This is absolutely 100% correct. You hang race cars because the suspension has different bushings. I store mine on my Quick Jack but with the tires on the wooden squares with a little weight on them. Never had flat spots.
this might come across as being a smart ***, but you invest in a corvette, buy the fancy quick jack lift, take your wheels off to save them from flat spots, but won’t invest in an actual car cover and instead throw a bed spread and moving blankets on top of your car?

Tires are unsafe within 7 years of manufacture regardless if they are driven daily.
After 7 years, the tires are gone anyway so flat spotting is irrelevant, just let the car continue to rot but don't ever attempt to drive it or someone will die

Where do you gets get these ridiculous numbers from? Most tire manufacturers recommend replacing the tires at 10 years, and you know they're being extremely conservative.
FWIW: Michelin who arguably is currently building the best tires for Corvettes recommends 10 years and Goodyear who arguably builds the worst tires recommends 10 years.
