Default Help- water leak

Hello all again. I would like to know if any of you have had water leak in on the driver's side by the hood release. Its a small leak when rains but does soak the carpet at the crease (Floor & side). I have sealed the cowl vent with silicone, silicone the door hinge and taken the inside trim off looking for evidence of the leak to find nothing. I've changed the a-pillar wings (pieces between door window and windshield) all seals look good and the cowl seems to be tight to the windshield. If anyone has had the same problem please let me know what I'm missing. Thanks and stay safe....................

I would tend to suspect a leak on the windshield seal, I personally haven't had this happen, but I believe I've read where others have.

The other thing to check is under the battery at the wiring grommet going to the cabin. The other item may be that the AC drain tube is plugged, and allowing water to back into the ducting and soak the passenger side carpet. Check out this thread.

His leak is on the drivers side, so I think that rules out the AC drain tube and battery grommet..

Yes I do. I used to get it when I went through the car wash. Kept wondering why my left foot/pants was always wet when I left there.

There is a TSB 3173 listed about a driver's side water leak. http://www.c6registry.com/membersonly/Recalls/index.htm
I can't seem to find any specifics (yet). Maybe you'll have better luck

I took the inside A-Pillar off and found the leak coming from the corner of the windshield and running down the pillar where it connects to the dash (Held in with a plastic tab) the water then runs onto the bottom of dash and comes out by the hood release.
I believe I need a new front weatherstrip, but fear GM has discontinued production. I list the part number (20774936) in Google but, suppliers say they are sold out. Does anyone know a dealer, solution or company that makes the item?
Thanks
