Emergency key
Is there anyone other than a Chevrolet dealer that can make an emergency key for a 2007 Corvette using the VIN number?

What post #2 recommends using the VIV number cause they have a special key cutting machine where they look up your vin, and than transfer into the numbers on the key cutter, and only dealerships have the book.

I'll give you a bunch of ifs. If you can get in the car and if the glove box is not locked there maybe the key code on the side of the lock tumbler. The key code will be a series of numbers indicating the tumbler pin lengths. A key can be cut based on those numbers. If not, and if you can remove the lock and take it to a 'real' locksmith they can probably disassemble the tumbler and use the pin lengths to make a new key. You could call a locksmith and ask to see if it's possible and at what price. If, if, if. Probably much easier to take the vin, your wallet, and proof of ownership to any GM dealer.
