New axles, new hubs, trans/diff stiffening, new trans mounts, new brake lines, new e-brake cables, install coil overs, new rear sway bar, new short shifter, repair small tear in drivers seat, some interior color changes, rebuild torque tube, new clutch, new slave cylinder and remote bleed, new pilot, new rear main seal, new barbell, new oil pan gasket, new pickup tube clamp, new motor mounts, new timing chain set, new cam, new cam thrust plate, new cam chain tensioner, new oil pump, new front main seal, new cam position/crank position/knock sensors, new dampener, new water pump, new power steering pump, new hoses and belts, new tensioners, new multi core rad, new heater hoses, headers/exhaust, upgrade lifter trunions, pushrods, lifters, veraram, tune.

Now, will I get it all done? Probably not. I have most of the parts, I have the tools, know how and heated garage, time however… motivation… I have ok days and bad days. We will see, it helps keep my mind off all the bad stuff going on in the world and in my head, it’s great therapy to be honest.
fingers crossed, LOL, my A.D.D. is keeping me from getting myself organized and a proper plan of attack in place. Wish me luck.😁😂

Updates is the better word for my projects. A) I am removing the Halo, and replacing the rubber trim between the Halo and hatch window.
B) Replacing weatherstripping on the Halo where it meets the top.
C) My biggest project is to sand my original transparent top down to 800 grit and get it clear coated. I had this done to a used top, a few years ago, and it turned out great. Once the top is back from the paint shop, I'll add new retainers/weatherstipping on the refurbished top.
D) Purchase a GM nano, and replacing the original Nav unit with one from a 2010. The Nano will allow me to marry the Nav unit to my Vin #.
E) Put it on jack stands, check and tighten all the panel body bolts. Adjust the passenger side door/front fender, as I had a rubbing issue betwen the door edge and fender, but only did a quick tweak to get me through the running season.

I do wish you luck. that’s a pretty extensive list, I would add the fuel pump and sending units since your “there basically” already. Unless you’ve had the issue fixed already.
Im sure you have time……right, winter is like what 8 months long for you all.?.. (joking). Good luck.🍀

hmm good suggestion. I could upgrade the pump while I’m in there as I’m thinking supercharger next year…

1. Removing halo and having it painted black
2. Just purchased an NPP exhaust. Will be installing that and probably building my own controller for it.
3. Still need to purchase long tubes/x-pipe and install them.
4. Installing front splitter and side skirts.

I have other things I want to do but those are definitely getting done this winter.

1. I am going to rebuild my drivers seat. I need to replace the heater relay (under seat typically fails as I read) and replace the seat covers. One thing I want to do is remedy the foam pressing thru the seat wires. I have all the parts from Z06 seats to fix that with the wires and raise the center seat foam slightly so I am not sitting in a dip. Those bolsters press on my arthritis and makes it uncomfortable for longer rides. I have another set of black covers I am using but looking at another red color also.
2. finish the sound deadner in the cabin area and doors.
3. Replace my LG Motorsports GT4s with NPP Z06 mufflers and add manual cables to open or the mild-2-wild actuators.
4. Change the rear differential fluid.
5. Clean Heater/AC Air box
6. Air brush the love bug damage on the front
7. Drive it MORE...........................

Getting this damn 14-yr old 3M Paint Protection film off that has totally failed. Likely will be working on it for months.

No winter projects. It's too cold here. As soon as it is warm enough in the spring, I will be replacing the door pull handle on the driver's side. It is kind of scuffed up, but otherwise the rest of the door panel is real nice. I thought I was going to have to replace the entire door panel until I found out that the door pull handle is available separately. I will also install the anti-venom mod for improved shifter smoothness.

I just had new leather seat covers and foam installed and I think I'll update the stock radio and nav with a unit that has Apple Car Play.

The thing my car needs most right now is paint. The front bumper is bad and there's a bit of clear coat failure on the rear fenders. There are other smaller issues which are less noticeable. It's definitely had some paint work done in the past. I'm hoping to repaint the entire car. The plan right now is to do that in the spring, though.

I keep thinking about putting the Recaro seats in it but I haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger yet.

I should build a better sub box, but I'm not going to do it this winter.

So probably no significant projects I'm going to work on this year. I need to wash it and put the cover on it until after the snow when I'm ready to get it to the body shop. I just finished replacing the seal around the targa top which was really janky and driving me crazy since the day I bought it. I also replaced the exterior window trim and the driver's door handle that was all beat up.

This winter is going to be me redoing the electrical work I've done on my truck. Put in a better fuse box/relay box, rewire the light bar, run wiring to the back for a permanently mounted compressor. Might rebuild my trunk box. I finally found a place that will paint the frame for me too, so I will not be spending my entire winter grinding rust this year, which is a huge relief....I'm too old.

Just did the driver's door handle myself. You have to cut away a little bit of styrofoam in there, unless there's a way to get around that I missed. It's a stupid setup - you can buy and replace the handle but the bolts are inaccessible. Not hard, just annoying.

It's nice to have it done though. Mine was scuffed up when I bought the car and it drove me nuts.

Thanks for the info. It just might be possible that my door panel doesn't have the Styrofoam that you mentioned because I have a 2006 Z06 and they supposedly don't have sound insulation to speak of. We'll see when I get the door panel off.
