The eBay title states C6 BUT it is a 5-button case. In the listing description it states: 5-Buttons Shell Fob - Remote Start, Lock, Unlock, Trunk & PanicButtons: (5) This will not work for a 4 button remote, only 5 button.
The 05-07 fob is a 4-button. Don't order off eBay *****-nilly without doing your due diligence. You might be disappointed.
Does any one know where I can purchase a key fob shell for my 2006 C6. I have looked every where with out any success.
Thanks
You are probably trying to source a case for this fob. When we acquired our 2007 six years ago I wanted to replace the #1 fob since it looked tattered and beat up from the previous owner. Instead I sourced the complete new unit from GM Parts on eBay for about $70 and programmed it to the car. I took the beat up fob, wrapped it in foil and hid it in the car and at the same time had a spare key cut that I keep on my regular key chain so that if the fob ever gets lost I can use my key chain key to enter the car and retrieve my hidden key fob.
On this same topic I recently ordered a new key "case" for my daily driver VW that has a flip blade keyless entry remote since the loop that attaches it to a key ring had broken off. I was not impressed by the quality of the aftermarket replacement case since the key blade from the OEM case would not directly exchange with the receiver of the replacement case. The slot in the replacement key's receiver was too small and would require having to file material from the OEM blade to make it fit. I also found that the push buttons on the replacement case were a much stiffer plastic making the force required to push the buttons down much harder than the plastic buttons on the OEM key.

This is the one that I need. Just the outer plastic case
